The Sports Journalists' Association began its 60th anniversary year this week in front of 400 journalists at The Brewery on Monday night.(17/3/08) for its annual award ceremony.
Over £3750 was raised for the Journalists' Charity...many thanks to all those who donated the raffle prizes and to those who bought them.
Chairman Robert Warren thanked the 400 guests who had supported the raffle, urged them to make a meaningful financial commitment to the Journalists' Charity and reminded them that three of their former colleagues were being cared for in Pickering House and many others were receiving generous grants to help them make ends meet.
