Pearson plc, publishers of the Financial Times, have joined other major news groups with a five figure pledge to the Journalists' Charity. Trinity MIrror and Express Newspapers have yet to follow suit.
Charity chairman Robert Warren said; "We are delighted with this generous donation. which is worth £60,000 over three years. It is a highly signicant sum at a time when we are having to work hard on fund raising."
