Open Day at Pickering House

Two ceremonies at an open day in Dorking marked the final stages in the construction of Pickering House..
Canon David Meara, of St Bride's, Fleet Street , dedicated the non-denominational chapel, and Sir Ray Tindle formally opened the bar, which he had generously sponsored with a gift of £25,000.
Afterwards members and guests were entertained to lunch in a marquee on the lawn before being shown around the new care home.
Chairman Robert Warren, thanking Sir Ray for his generosity and the Canon for his service of dedication, said: "We are thrice blessed . Our chapel is dedicated, the bar is officially open - and the weather is perfect."
