Journalists’ Charity Ball, Glasgow: March 16

We are delighted to announce that  reservations are now being taken for the Journalists’ Charity Ball, which will take place on Saturday March 16th 2019 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Argyle Street, Glasgow. As always, all profits will go to the Journalists’ Charity.

Demand for tables is always high, so advance booking is highly recommended.

Generously sponsored by Camelot, tickets for the event remain the same price as last year – £55 per person – and include a three-course dinner and wine, kindly supplied by Lidl.Journalists’ Charity Ball favourites Amplifive will provide the music and there will also be a brilliant raffle featuring a host of fantastic prizes, including flights, weekends away, and fabulous tickets for concerts and sporting events.

In order to try and encourage as many journalists as possible to attend the event, we are also offering a special ticket rate of £35 for those working on local newspapers and for agencies. These will be available as individual tickets for shared tables; in other words, the special-rate tickets needn’t be bought for tables of ten.

We have also negotiated a special overnight accommodation rate of £129 per room bed and breakfast. To reserve your room at this special rate, please book directly with the hotel on 0141-204-3333. This rate is subject to availability.

I am deeply appreciative of the support you have given the Journalists’ Charity in the past and hope you will be able to join us for another superb event at which we can celebrate our industry and raise valuable funds for the brilliant work carried out by the charity.
